Writing CBT here is an opportunity for you to outshine the performance of PPT based on their result statistics, so you should be fully prepared by now.
USING COMPUTER:
You must not be a guru in computer before you can answer any CBT question. The computer you will use will be ON, you wont be asked to switch it ON and the JAMB software will be open in all the computer for the exam. The only thing you will type on the computer is your JAMB Reg no, other ones are more of clicking. The left mouse button of the mouse is what you will use mostly for the exam. Make sure your mouse is working before you input your JAMB Reg no. Just move it and know whether the mouse pointer is moving.
THE EXAM:
The login page include a white and green page where you will input your JAMB reg no and click at submit.
The computer is timed at 3hours, 45 minutes, 13 seconds. The first page you will see is where the instruction is. Read the instructions carefully. And click at “Start” The timer will start immediately. The subjects you will write in JAMB will appear.
You can click in any of the subjects you want to start with. There are 3 buttons which are previous , next and finish. You can skip a question and come back to it. A red indication will be blinking on the number you have not answered.
The comprehension will appear fully on each question of the comprehension, so there is no need writing down or cramming the
comprehension.
After answering all questions , or
when you see the timer at 10 secs, if you have not finish kindly click on logout and click at SUBMIT. There is also a short video that explained what i said above on JAMB website
N.B: There is no law that says you must answer No 1 before No. 2 or that you must answer Chemistry before physics. Answer the simple ones you are sure of first before others. Say NO to exam malpractice. Don’t forget to say your prayers BEFORE you input your JAMB Reg No to start to avoid stories that touch from the Timer. I am also praying for you.
I wish you success in your exam

The University of Ilorin UNILORIN yesterday commenced the distribution of PC tablets to their 100level and DE students as part of the school’s
project for them to facilitate their studies on campus and to improve their level of ICT.

This package is branded with a package called SERVICE PACK whereby they were been given a bag with it which contains: Tshirt, 10 in 1 notebook, pen, band, etc.
This package was introduced by the Students Union Government SUG.

A student says “After much waiting and lots of rumours about the proposed Ipad initiative, University of ilorin finally delivers. Its no more rumours now cos the distribution has started today,
15th of may 2014. Some of the Students in the faculty of Arts and Agric have been given as at the time of this post. Though the gadgets were not distributed to students who fail to pay the Extra
charges of 1100 for service packs.”
Thought students have been complaining about the late arrival of the ipad, but its still a laudable idea from the Better By Far University.

Indeed we are “BETTER BY FAR”

The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Ogun State has received an $18.8m grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to implement the Cassava: Adding Value for Africa Phase II.

According to the Project Director of CAVA II and university’s Director of Grants Management, Dr. Kolawole Adebayo, the grant will support at least 200,000 small-scale farmers and community processors in profitable and sustainable value-added cassava chains in five African countries.

The countries are Nigeria, Ghana, Tanzania, Uganda and Malawi. The project is to cover a period of five years.

CAVA II is a product of several months of intensive research by academics, whose outcome would help immensely in the socio-economic transformation of the affected nations by stimulating employment and producing favourable balance of payments through a remarkable reduction in the importation of goods into the country.

It will also improve rural incomes and productivity of small-scale farmers, especially women.

To achieve the objectives of CAVA II, Adebayo said a number of partners such as the Natural Resources Institute, University of Greenwich, United Kingdom; International Institute of Tropical Agriculture, Ibadan and the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research-Food and Research Institute, Ghana would help provide the technical support for the initiative.

Other institutions, he named include the Tanzania Food and Nutrition Centre; African Innovation Institute, Uganda and the Chancellor College, University of Malawi.

Meanwhile, the FUNAAB Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Olusola Oyewole, has congratulated the CAVA family on the award.

Oyewole said, “Let me assure you of the readiness of the university to make great success of this feat.

It is time to get to work. The work has started.”
News  reaching us from our crew stead in Joseph Ayo Babalola University Ikeji Arakeji, Osun State, has made it known that, the authorities of the institution ,  have inaugurated a committee, comprising hall wardens, student advisers and hall masters to help check indiscipline in the school.

The Vice-Chancellor of JABU, Prof. Sola Fajana, said the initiative would help the university to pursue knowledge and godliness in line with the vision of its founding fathers.

Fajana, who said that the university frowned on indiscipline, urged members of the committee to live up to their responsibility.

He urged them to lead by example and re-dedicate themselves to ensuring that JABU students become successful, not only in academics but also in morals.

The university Registrar, Mr. Wale Aderibigbe, said the university has been a model for the youth, especially the ones whose parents had lost hopes of reformation.

He said, “We want JABU to be a training ground, just like Jesus who came for the sinners. We are not expecting perfection, but we must do our best to bring vices to the minimum level.”

The acting Dean, Student Affairs, Dr. Abodunrin Owolabi, noted that the committee members were persons of integrity, wisdom and moral excellence.

Meanwhile, JABU has signed Memorandum of Understanding with the University College of Social Sciences, Poland, which will ensure the award of joint degrees by both institutions.
